First Aid courses for Parents
This practical, five-hour life-saving skills course is designed for parents, parents-to-be, grandparents, and anyone caring for children – from infants to pre-teens. Delivered in English, it provides essential knowledge and confidence to handle potentially life-threatening emergencies involving babies and children.
Why take a First Aid course for children?
Even with precautions, accidents and sudden illness can happen anytime. Prompt, appropriate first aid can prevent a condition from worsening and is vital while awaiting medical assistance.
What will you learn?
Participants will gain life-saving skills, including how to:
- Recognise and manage unconsciousness
- Perform CPR on children (including infants if requested), teenagers and adults
- Manage choking
- Prevent drowning
- Respond to head injuries, seizures, burns, and scalds
- Recognise whether an injury is sprain or a fracture
Who is it for?
This course is not only for parents but also for grandparents, nannies, childminders (Tagesmütter), teachers, and anyone responsible for younger and older children’s safety and wellbeing.
What is the course fee?
The fee for this five-hour course is CHF 130 per person, payable via TWINT or bank transfer before the course.
