Dr. Luitgard Holzleg has been a valued part of our Safety Day at the International School of Schaffhausen for several years. Each year she leads engaging and interactive safety sessions with our primary students, covering important topics such as first aid, burns, wound care, the recovery position, and even life-saving measures like chest compressions or what to do in the case of choking.
Her sessions are always a highlight for the children, who continue talking about what they learned long after the lessons are over. She uses role play, hands-on activities, and even “fake wounds” for the children to practice bandaging, which makes the experience both memorable and fun.
