First Aid courses for Parents
This practical, six-hour life-saving and essential first aid course is designed for parents, parents-to-be, grandparents, and anyone caring for children – from infants to pre-teens. Delivered in English, it provides essential knowledge and confidence to handle both serious medical emergencies and everyday illnesses involving babies and children.
Why take a First Aid course for children?
Even with precautions, accidents and sudden illness can happen anytime. Prompt, appropriate first aid can prevent a condition from worsening and is vital while awaiting medical assistance.
What will you learn?
Participants will gain life-saving and first aid skills, including how to:
- Recognise and manage unconsciousness
- Perform CPR on infants and children
- Recognise choking
- Understand key prevention strategies including for drowning
- Respond to head injuries, seizures, burns, and scalds
- Is it broken or sprained?
Who is it for?
This course is offered exclusively in German for parents of Montessori House of Kids, Adliswil. In this course, participants will learn about babies’ and children’s safety and it prepares them for the many smaller and larger emergencies that can happen when looking after children.
